Panton McLeod Acquisition by Stonbury Announced

Panton McLeod, a leading provider of advanced inspection and cleaning services for public, commercial, and industrial water assets, is pleased to announce its acquisition by Stonbury, the water and environment sustainability specialist. The addition of Panton McLeod, with its 50-strong team, further solidifies the position of both businesses in the water and environment sectors.  The acquisition forms a key part of Stonbury’s growth strategy and reinforces its desire to be the market leader in providing sustainable solutions to the water industry and wider water environment.

Founded in 1994, Panton McLeod an initial focus on cleaning potable water storage tanks to help water providers meet their regulatory requirements. Service offerings developed from there, with an emphasis on supporting clients to protect, maintain and improve water quality. Today, Panton McLeod specialise in advanced inspection and cleaning of water assets with a range of innovative, cutting-edge technologies and expert solutions for a range of clients across the UK and Ireland. Its 50-strong team will combine with the 350-strong Stonbury team to serve the U.K. water and environment sectors.

Stonbury was founded in 1983 and, with recent backing from private equity investor LDC, Stonbury works with UK water companies and environment agencies to deliver low-carbon solutions to maintain, repair and refurbish critical assets, from drinking water provision to wastewater treatment, helping to protect supplies and extend asset lives. Stonbury also delivers nature-based solutions to help clients operate more sustainably and mitigate the impacts of climate change.
